North Korea's top court has convicted two U.S. journalists for an unspecified 'grave crime' against the nation, and sentenced them to 12 years in labor prison

It doesn't come as a surprise that Laura Ling and Euna Lee we're convicted of some sort of crime by this kangaroo North Korean court. The North Korean's are really aching for an ass whopping and this just doesn't help matters. There's conflicting reports to suggest if the two were actually in North Korea when they were taken prisoner. It wouldn't be the first time the North Korean's went into China and took someone hostage.

But now they have been sentenced to 12 years in a labor camp. I would hope someone from our state department pays Kim the lip service he demands and get these women out before he does something really stupid and the war is back on over there.

I hope and pray they are being treated well, but it's clear they will be now used as political pawns in a giant chess game. It's just a matter of do we blink and give in or do we do what should have been done 55 years ago and rain down hell on the North Korean regime and get rid of them once and for all.

This stuff with Pelosi and company saying the CIA lied to them is really making me laugh. For those of you who haven't heard, basically during the start of the war the CIA told the Congressional Intelligence (I know a contradiction in terms) comittee how we basically go about getting information. Whether it is or was Illegal is irrelevant. It was done and if you really believe the official events of 9/11 then I'm glad we did what we did. If waterboarding saved one life then it was worth it.

But what makes me laugh is now you have Pelosi and company in power and they on the one hand have to play to their base (IE the far left nut jobs) but on the other hand they have to play to everyone else who is fed up with them (IE the rest of the country). So what we get is "Well they told us but we didn't know for sure". It's all a load of bullshit. They knew what was being done and now they are just trying to cover their asses.

Ah well it should be fun to see what happens next. There's all ready rumblings Pelosi should testify under oath to Congress about what she was told. Of course she would have to wave her Congressional Immunity for that to happen and unless a real smoking gun comes out there's a fat chance of that happening.

All I know is, we have a part of our Government we don't talk about and for good reason. They do the things that have to be done so that we the little people can sleep at night. It's like I said and many others have as well. If we save lives from what is done then it is worth it.

Our esteemed Governor David Patterson who is slipping in the polls and looking to distract everyone from the grave the state is being dug into had decided to throw a hail mary pass in the hopes it can boost his numbers so he has a chance in 2010 when he's up for re-election. When in doubt he does what every politician looking to save their ass does. He says he's gonna try and get Gay Marriage legalized.

I am torn on the issue. I honestly am. On the one hand I believe gays have every right to have all the rights of marriage, but on the other I don't believe it should be called marriage because marriage is one man and one woman. I don't subscribe to all that bullshit that legalizing gay marriage is a stepping stone towards polygamy, bestiality, or what ever. I simply believe that marriage is a man and a woman in holy matrimony and state legislators and judges should not decide it.

I'm becoming more and more libertarian and something like this should be left to the voters. Put it on the ballot and see what happens. Well there's a reason he wouldn't do that, it would get voted down in a heart beat.

But now because of this it's guaranteeing all the nut cases on both sides are going to flood the airwaves with commercials for each side of the issue.

You want to stop these pirate attacks we need to crush them. As a matter of fact, it's been reported that we have Seal teams ready to go and destroy them but Obama the appeaser won't give the green light.

This is what happens when you elect wimps into power. God forbid anything happens to the captain of the Alabama because it's now gonna be on them. We have the ability to destroy these little groups and we're not doing anything. It's not like it's the late 1700's and it's a pirate battle between two warships. It's the worlds navy's vs. some guys in tugboats and dingy's. We have technology they couldn't even dream of back then and still we do nothing.

I got a good laugh this morning when I went to Drudge and saw a headline about the FBI ruling out Taliban involvement in the shooting in upstate New York yesterday.

Apparently Baituallah Mehsud is the new boogeyman to be on the look out for did an interview and said he gave the order for the shooting yesterday. This guy is supposed to be pretty bad as he's all ready said he will attack Washington DC. I say supposed because who the hell knows who this guys is. In a few years will his name be up there with Bin Laden? I kinda doubt it. Of course I say he's the new boogeyman because they want you to think there is an actual threat here.

9/11 changed my life and my view of the world. But over the last few years I've come to realize that the war on terrorism and everything involved in it is just a load of bullshit. It's going on eight years since 9/11 and we don't even know if that fuck head is alive or dead much less where he is. So now the powers that be are trying to ramp up hype to remind us that Afghanistan is still a war and there are bad bad people who want to destroy us.

I'm not to worried that this guy who ever he is will be doing something over here. I'm more worried about the economy then I am about some dipshit in a cave 10,000 miles away.

In the meantime it's nice to see all that Democracy stuff is working over there...
